Susquehanna Valley Preschool is holding open enrollment for the 2025/2026 school year. SVP serves 3 through 5 year olds. Our 3 year old class is held Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00am to 12:00pm.  Our 4 and 5 year old class is held Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren will be hosting a Grief Share Support Group every Tuesday evening starting on March 4th and ending on May 27th from 6:30-8:30 pm. Jewish Christian Tom Cantor will be the guest speaker by Zoom at the next meeting of the Central Pennsylvania Creation Fellowship to be held at the Faith Baptist Church, 647 Valley Vista Drive in State College. Cantor is the founder and CEO of Scantibodies Laboratory a multinational medical research company with 800 employees and he is also the owner and operator of the Creation and Earth History Museum in San Diego County, California. His research led him to a faulty test for kidney dialysis patients that caused them to be overmedicated and have unnecessary parathyroid surgeries. The offending company settled with the government for a 302 million dollar fine and Cantor won a financial reward and was named ‘Whistleblower of the Year’ in 2009. Meadowbrook Christian School Preschool and Kindergarten will be hosting an Open House for prospective families on Friday, May 16 from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. Meadowbrook offers a strong academic preschool program for students aged three through kindergarten, as well as an Extended Care program for additional hours of childcare for enrolled students. If you are interested in learning more about Meadowbrook’s preschool, come meet the teachers, visit the classrooms, and view the curriculum during the Preschool Open House on May 16. Chief Logan Fire Department will be hosting a vendor/craft event for a fundraiser.

Ebenezer Faith Bible Church (630 State Route 93, Berwick PA 18603) is hosting a “Wonder Junction” VBS on June 15th-19th from 6:00pm to 8:15pm nightly. Children ages 3 through 8th grade will be transported back to the Old West to discover the wonder of Jesus! This summer, the
newest community theatre in Central PA, Salt & Light Theatre for the
Performing Arts, is excited to present its first Broadway musical of
“Annie” directed by Pastor Ryan Brosious on July 16-19.

“Annie” is a heartwarming musical that tells the story of a plucky
young orphan girl living in New York City during the Great Depression. Despite
her harsh circumstances at the Municipal Orphanage run by the tyrannical Miss
Hannigan, Annie maintains an unwavering optimism that she will one day be
reunited with her parents. Her story takes a turn when she is chosen to spend
Christmas at the lavish home of billionaire Oliver Warbucks. Through her
infectious charm and indomitable spirit, Annie touches the hearts of Warbucks and
his staff, leading to a series of adventures as they search for Annie’s parents
and discover the true meaning of family. With its catchy musical numbers,
memorable characters, and poignant themes, “Annie” continues to captivate
audiences of all ages, reminding us that even in the darkest of times, a little
optimism can go a long way. Featuring a 45-member cast of incredible actors
from the community with exciting performances, “Annie” is sure to
bring a smile to your face with this beloved story of adoption, love, and
family.

5th annual Youth Rally.  Lead by Grace Chapel, we combined forces with several churches in the
surrounding area to provide all youth a day to enjoy fellowship
and worship. Teens are invited to come participate in sports, games, food,
enjoyable company, entertainment, and an uplifting message.  This a free event on August 3, 2025 at 3pm.  Youth groups are encouraged to join as a team.  Individuals will be placed in a group.  Waivers are required to participate.  Please contact Grace Chapel Shamokin for more information.

Join us for a four-person scramble to support Expectations Women’s Center! In addition to competing for the lowest foursome score to win the tournament, you’ll also have the opportunity to compete for longest drive and closest to the pin.
