Movie playing on February 22: Breakthrough
Movie Description: When Joyce Smith’s adopted son John falls through an icy Missouri lake, all hope seems lost as John lies lifeless. In the face of every bleak medical case history and dire scientific prediction. Joyce’s unwavering belief inspires her community to pray for John’s recovery. Based on the incredible true story, Breakthrough is an enthralling reminder that faith and love can create a mountain of hope, and sometimes even a miracle.

In 1973, a spiritual awakening captured the heart of nearly every player on
the Woodlawn High School football team. Their dedication to love and unity, in
a newly desegregated school filled with racism and hate, leads to the largest
high school football game ever played in the torn city of Birmingham, Alabama,
and the rise of superstar, Tony Nathan.

Salt & Light Theatre presents: “Tuck Everlasting The Musical”
Book by Claudia Shear & Tim Federle
Music by Chris Miller & Lyrics by Nathan Tysen
Based on the novel “Tuck Everlasting” by Natalie Babbitt
Directed by Pastor Ryan Brosious
📅Auditions: March 13 & 14 | Performances: July 15-18
📍Show Venue: Crossroads Nazarene Church in Milton
💦PLOT SUMMARY💦
What would you do if you had to live forever? Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster longs for an adventurous life beyond her white picket fence, but it is only when she meets the Tuck family that her life takes an unexpected turn. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the infinite youth of the Tuck family, she has to fight to protect its secret from those who would do anything to have a chance to live forever. In the middle of this adventure, she is faced with an extraordinary decision: return to her old life or the eternal journey with the Tucks.
🎭WHO CAN AUDITION?🎭
If you’d like to perform onstage with us this summer in “Tuck Everlasting The Musical”, auditions are open to anyone in the
community ages 10 & up! All roles are available. Actresses ages 11-19 may audition for the role of Winnie Foster. Auditioning does not guarantee casting, and there is a very limited number of roles available for the ensemble. Individual auditions are held privately in a classroom with our judging panel.
🩰Dance is an integral part of the show in many scenes. So, whether you’d like to be considered for a dance-only role or would like to dance and also be in the ensemble (chorus), we’d love to see you audition!
Due to the limited cast size, not everyone auditioning will be able to be cast for this particular show. Any Salt & Light Theatre leadership team members wishing to be considered for a role must audition, but are not guaranteed a role in the show. All actors are non-paid.
➡️Find all the information about auditions, character descriptions, FAQs for actors & parents, and much more on our audition webpage: https://www.saltandlighttheatre.org/auditions

Experience the practical training and teaching in prayer
Event Details
Experience the practical training and teaching in prayer that has encouraged over 30,000 people across the globe.
This event is a Friday evening and a Saturday morning
Thousands of people have already experienced the movement of A Praying Life — from reading the bestselling book by Paul E. Miller or attending a seminar at a local church.
“A Praying Life Seminar is the most practical training in prayer possible, yet it is rooted in biblical theology. I highly recommend it.” – Tim Keller
This seminar is not just for victorious Christians, but Christians defeated in the trenches, asking… How do I focus when I’m distracted with so much to do? How do I pray longer than five minutes? How do I ask when I’ve tried it before and it doesn’t work?
Delving into our frustrations, we look at Jesus’ powerful yet simple teachings on prayer. We practice becoming child-like, patterning after Jesus’ own teaching and style of praying. We learn to ask our Father anything – with eyes wide open to the story he is creating in our lives. Further practical tools and helps are explained and demonstrated. Throughout the sessions people have time to pray, making real what they learned. While it is an interactive seminar and participation is encouraged, no one will be required to speak or pray aloud.
