Richfield Life Ministries Church will be holding Griefshare beginning April 7th. If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, you are invited to come and learn with others, how to heal from your loss. Call the church office for more information, or to register, at 717-694-3490

Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren will be hosting a 13-week session of GriefShare every Tuesday starting September 3rd. GriefShare is a non-denominational grief recovery support group where you can find help and healing for the hurt of losing a loved one. Contact the church office at (570) 966-1183 to preregister.

DivorceCare is a warm caring environment with practical information and Biblical teaching for healing from separation or divorce.

The ministry of Crossroads Pregnancy Center will host their annual fundraising banquets in September this year with various locations-all with the same program! All proceeds benefit women and families in the community that need help especially during an unplanned pregnancy. Monday, Sept. 16th will be at Calvary Bible Church in Lewistown. Tuesday, Sept. 17th will be at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona and Wednesday, Sept. 18th will be at the Oasis of Love Church in Huntingdon! For all locations, doors open at 5pm and the meal/program will begin at 6pm. Join us for an incredible evening of great food, updates on the ministry, amazing client testimonies and a powerful word from this year’s guest speaker, Kirk Walden!! Rummage, Soup, and Bake Sale on September 19 & 20 – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

bag for $5.00. Outside sales run all week beginning on
Monday, September 16. All proceeds from the sale are given away to support our

What to expect from this parenting workshop:

• Get equipped with tools to engage in conversation and deeper relationship with your kids around the topic of sexuality. F
• ind out when you should and what you should share with your kids about sexuality from elementary age on up to teens.
• Learn how to better share Jesus with your loved ones and friends who have a different sexual theology than you.
• Get tips on how to help your kids walk in mental purity.

The Roaring Creek Valley United Methodist Church will hold its monthly Charity Breakfast on Saturday, September 21 from 8:00-10:00 AM. All are invited to come out for a full menu of home-made breakfast items with all donations going to support local charities and missions. Calvary Baptist Church: 332 East Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg PA, is having another Free Community Puzzle Swap on Saturday September 21, from 8:30-12:00. If you love to puzzle, bring puzzles you would like to swap and take as many as you can put together in three months. Then return them in December for more puzzles. If you don’t have any to swap, no problem, take some anyway. We have hundreds of puzzles in all shapes and sizes. For more information call the church office at 5709661883. 

Human trafficking is definitely increasing in the world. Though we are tempted to either think it couldn’t happen in our community, or avoid the truth and stick our heads in the sand, the truth is, it’s real and it’s here. In Mifflin County there’s a group, called Hope Collective, that’s trying to do something about this. To that end, there’s going to be a Human Trafficking Awareness Event on Saturday, Sept 21st 9-Noon at Mifflin County High School! Law enforcement, school, and political personnel will be helping to educate and give next steps towards helping Miffco flourish in a much healthier way.  You can find more on the MC Hope Collective Facebook page or by emailing Kishdco@gmail.com. 

On September 21, 1-4pm Kingdom Kidz will present a program free to all children,
young people, and their

parents. It includes a puppet show, crafts, snacks,

The Unhindered Steps conference promotes faith-based mental and emotional well-being for teen girls and the adults who support them.

Teen girls (ages 13-18) will be provided with information, tools, resources, and connection with trusted adults.

Adults (youth leaders, moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, etc.) will be provided with information and training to be better equipped to support teen girls.

-Breakout sessions for teens on body image, thought patterns, relational conflicts, heartbreak, and tragedy.

-Breakout session for adults on communication with teens, faith development of teens, teen mental health, caring for your own well-being while supporting another’s journey, and a special breakout session for father figures!

-Talk Rooms available with licensed therapist and qualified counselors for anyone who needs to chat

-Tools and resources provided by local organizations

-Connection and fun activities (therapy dogs!)

Beech Creek Wesleyan Church would like to extend an
invitation to an upcoming free concert.  The concert will feature Liberty
Quartet at 6pm on Saturday, September 28th.  

Liberty Quartet cherishes the opportunity to connect with
people and make new friends wherever they go. They have had the opportunity to
share the platform with groups such as Gaither Vocal Band, Legacy Five, Greater
Vision, the Booth Brothers, the Hoppers, the Isaacs, the Collingsworth Family,
and many others. While featuring everything from high-energy performances to
moments of contemplation, Liberty always leads the congregation in an
incredible concert of worship. Their ministry bridges all generations, bringing
enjoyment to traditional and contemporary venues.

Moreland Baptist Church presents our annual Fall Festival –
a community outreach event! Known locally as “Drive your Tractor to Church
Sunday”. Please join us at 10:30 am on September 29^th for service by
our Pastor Dave Guenin, outside under the pavilion. Music by Chris Pick. Lunch
will be provided along with festivities: an inflatable obstacle course, horse drawn
carriage rides, a tractor parade, barrel train, hay rides, popcorn, face
painting, and more!

If you would like to drive your tractor to church to enter
into the Tractor Contest and b e in the parade, please arrive between 9-10am.
