Susquehanna Valley Preschool is holding open enrollment for the 2025/2026 school year. SVP serves 3 through 5 year olds. Our 3 year old class is held Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00am to 12:00pm.  Our 4 and 5 year old class is held Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Our daily classes include: group time, lesson time, Bible time, snack, free play and much more. Please call Jennifer at 570-743-7303

Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren will be hosting a Grief Share Support Group every Tuesday evening starting on March 4th and ending on May 27th from 6:30-8:30 pm. The Spring Fling and Walk ‘n’ Roll Festival is a free event held by Faith & Friends Preschool Center at the Elysburg Presbyterian Church. The event kicks off with a sponsored Walk ‘n’ Roll fun run. Come join or cheer on the students of Faith & Friends as they complete their laps to earn money for our school. The event will also feature food and drinks, vendors, outdoor games for the family, kids games and crafts, a bounce house, face paint and hair tinsel, as well as a silent auction and indoor yard sale. All proceeds benefit Faith & Friends Preschool Center.

Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, 967 Mile Hill Rd in Sunbury, will be holding a benefit yard sale on May 10th from 9am to 2pm.  All proceeds benefit Emmanuel’s Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry.

Join Greenlight Operation for our annual 5K on City Island in Harrisburg to support survivors of human trafficking! Runners can participate in the fun run/walk or the certified race to compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals based on sex and age group, as well as compete for prizes awarded to the best time accomplished in the male and female category. All participants will receive an exclusive t-shirt and runner’s kit. Our goal is to raise $40,000 to support the restorative care of trafficking survivors, and individuals can fundraise independently or in teams. There are prizes for the teams and individuals that raise the most funds!

Please arrive by 8:30am to check-in for the 9am start.

Our annual walk/run/ride for life will once again be at Knoebel’s Amusement Park pavilion “M” with registration beginning at 9am. Come on out and move with other purpose-driven friends in support of your local Pregnancy Resource Center. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to PCC Corner of Hope.

Jewish Christian Tom Cantor will be the guest speaker by Zoom at the next meeting of the Central Pennsylvania Creation Fellowship to be held at the Faith Baptist Church, 647 Valley Vista Drive in State College. Cantor is the founder and CEO of Scantibodies Laboratory a multinational medical research company with 800 employees and he is also the owner and operator of the Creation and Earth History Museum in San Diego County, California. His research led him to a faulty test for kidney dialysis patients that caused them to be overmedicated and have unnecessary parathyroid surgeries. The offending company settled with the government for a 302 million dollar fine and Cantor won a financial reward and was named ‘Whistleblower of the Year’ in 2009. Meadowbrook Christian School Preschool and Kindergarten will be hosting an Open House for prospective families on Friday, May 16 from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. Meadowbrook offers a strong academic preschool program for students aged three through kindergarten, as well as an Extended Care program for additional hours of childcare for enrolled students. If you are interested in learning more about Meadowbrook’s preschool, come meet the teachers, visit the classrooms, and view the curriculum during the Preschool Open House on May 16.
