Part-Time Mid-Day On-Air Host
WGRC is seeking a passionate, engaging, and ministry-minded individual to join our team as a Part-Time Mid-Day On-Air Host. This position is an opportunity to encourage listeners, communicate hope through Jesus Christ, and help create meaningful on-air experiences for Central Pennsylvania.
The ideal candidate will have a heart for ministry, strong communication skills, and a desire to connect authentically with listeners both on-air and in the community.
Position Overview
The Part-Time Mid-Day On-Air Host will be responsible for hosting a live mid-day shift, delivering uplifting and encouraging content consistent with the mission and vision of WGRC.
This position may also assist with station promotions, community engagement, production work, social media interaction, and other ministry-related projects as assigned.
Responsibilities
– Host a mid-day on-air shift in a professional and engaging manner
– Communicate hope and encouragement consistent with WGRC’s mission
– Prepare and deliver quality on-air breaks, weather, and community content
– Follow station programming, music, and production standards
– Assist with station promotions, events, and listener interaction
– Record promos, and other audio content as needed
– Maintain professionalism and teamwork with staff and volunteers
– Represent WGRC positively within the community
– Participate in staff meetings and ministry activities as requested
– Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
– A growing Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with WGRC’s mission
– Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to communicate authentically and conversationally on-air
– Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
– Basic computer and audio editing skills preferred
– Previous radio or media experience preferred but not required
– Ability to work well as part of a team-oriented ministry environment
