MILLMONT
& MIFFLINBURG –Christ’s United Lutheran Church of Millmont (Christ’s
United, a.k.a. “Four Bells”), First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mifflinburg
(First Lutheran), and St. John’s United Church of Christ of Mifflinburg (St.
John’s UCC) are holding various Lenten events and worship services in Union
County.

On March 5, Lent begins with an Ash Wednesday worship service at First
Lutheran beginning at 7:00 p.m.

For
five Wednesdays, our three churches will hold an evening meal starting at 6:00
p.m. followed by an evening Lenten prayer and devotion service at 7:00
p.m.  Locations for these five Wednesdays
are as follows:

19: Christ’s United

March 26:
First Lutheran

April
2: St. John’s UCC

9: Christ’s United

All
are welcome to any of our meals and worship services, as well as our other events
throughout the year.

Christ’s
United Lutheran Church, located at 13765 Old Turnpike Road, Millmont, and First
Evangelical Lutheran Church, located on 404 Market Street in Mifflinburg, are
sister churches that make up the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Parish.  Christ’s United’s worship service begins at
8:30 a.m. while First Lutheran’s worship service starts at 10:30 a.m.  St. John’s United Church of Christ is located
at 417 Market Street, Mifflinburg with worship services at 10:30 a.m.  All are welcome.
