WGRC Staff – Wanda Miller

I became an official part of the WGRC family when I was hired in October 2022 as a co-host on the morning show.  Being able to come to work every day and loving what I get to do has been a huge blessing in my life.

I grew up in New Columbia, PA in a conservative Mennonite family/church.  Growing up without a television was a catalyst for spending most of my time in the woods building forts and enjoying the great outdoors with my siblings. We often traveled to Ohio and Maryland to visit my Amish grandparents, uncles and aunts, and cousins.  My love of horses was born while sitting on my grandfather’s lap on a plow in the field, while 2 huge work horses pulled the plow.

In 1996, I graduated from Milton Area High School and spent the next few years working different jobs including being a Certified Nursing Assistant, working in the kitchen at Camp Hebron, and in retail.  In 2000, I served in missions through YWAM.  My Discipleship Training School was located in Wyoming and that was followed with our outreach in Mongolia.  God showed me his heart for people around the world during my time there.

In 2001, I married my husband, Ryan, and we had four amazing children. I chose to be a stay at home mom for the next sixteen years and although it was a challenge, I am so glad I was able to be there for all the moments of my children’s younger years. In 2017 I was hired at the YMCA and became the Membership Director until 2021.

I love all things Pumpkin, homemade bread, reading, sports, traveling and most of all…HORSES!  They are my therapy and I have learned so much about myself and others through spending time with them.

I became a Christian when I was ten years old but in 2021, I experienced the forgiveness, grace and redemption of God in a very personal and powerful way.  I was in an extremely dark place and believed that I was not worthy of forgiveness and that God would not want to use me again due to the choices I had made. But God…He showed me that His love for me was unshakeable, that His grace, mercy, and forgiveness is sufficient, and that NOTHING is able to separate me from the love of God.
