I grew up just north of Watsontown, PA; was raised in a solid Christian home and was raised in a Bible believing church where I was very active in the youth group and District activities. Gave my heart to the Lord at age 7 kneeling at the couch in our living room and my parents praying with me.
Graduated from Watsontown Christian Academy (’82) and Beauty School with a Cosmetology License in (’83). Met and dated my wonderful husband, Lee Klinger in ’80 while on a youth retreat with my aunt’s church in Cedar Run, PA. 7 years later, I convinced him that he couldn’t live without me and we were married (’87)!
Lee was in the US Air Force and we moved to Pease Air Force Base, Portsmouth, NH for 2 years until the base closed. At that time, we moved back to PA.
We have one son and daughter-in-law who are active serving the Lord within their church and young adult group and are the joy of our lives!
I went to work at Things Remembered for 6 years. Needing to spend more time with my family, I left there and went to work as a Receptionist at Kramm (Milton) Nursing and Rehab in Milton, PA. After 10 years, promoted to Secretary and 5 years later became HR Manager. After leaving there, I worked at Kevin Raker Construction as a Receptionist for 4 ½ years. When the pandemic of 2020 hit, I was laid off for several months and was praying asking the Lord if He had something else for me.
In August 2020, I came to work at WGRC Christian Radio through a series of God-timed events. I love working in a place where the mission of the station is to minister to people through the message in the music, I love that there is Christian music playing all day and I have the opportunity to talk to and pray with people who contact the station. Touching lives for Jesus!
In 2003, the Lord spared my life after it was discovered that I had a tear in a brain aneurysm I didn’t know I had. Many things in life took on a whole new meaning to me and my family. It was a time when I drew so much closer to God. Each day is truly a gift from Him.
I enjoy counted cross stitch, good Hallmark movies, love cooking and baking, spending time with my family, sitting on my front porch, watching the birds at our feeders the wildlife in the yard, and listening to the sounds of God’s creation all around. I enjoy being involved in the Kitchen Ministry at our church. I enjoy planning, cooking, and serving meals for small groups and larger crowds. I find that a meal is the best way to engage in fellowship!
Since 2006, Lee and I have led numerous teams from our church to Camp Maranatha in Big Lake, AK to do projects that the Camp may need done. It’s a Nazarene Camp that ministers to many different groups. We are passionate about the Camp and have grown to love Alaska!
2 Corinthians 12:9 – And He said to me, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ’s power
