Construction is under way on the oft-disputed low-income housing project in East Buffalo Township. Ten units should be ready for occupancy by September and the rest by year’s end, according to Bruce Quigley, executive director of the Union County Housing Authority and member of the private development group for the project, Union County Housing Associates. Quigley estimates more than two dozen people have registered to be considered as initial tenants. Anyone interested in consideration should contact the Authority at (570) 522-1300.
