Saturday, October 15⋅10:00am – 4:00pm
An election year allows us to talk with children about fairness and making decisions as a group. Thanks to a generous League of Women Voters donation, families and children can practice making their voices heard and drop by the LCM to choose a new exhibit toy to be added to the Museum. Throughout the day, children will make campaign posters to encourage others to vote for their favorite toy, chosen from the LCM Wishlist. Banners will be placed on display throughout the Museum in the weeks leading up to the general election in November. Guests to the museum will vote on their favorite and the League will donate the item with the most votes! The League will also be on hand to answer questions and provide opportunities for voter registration. The program is recommended for children 6 and older and is free with general admission or membership.
