As we come up on Thanksgiving, the saying is always heard; “Name something you are thankful for.” It’s easy to name many different earthly possessions, family, friends, pets, among other things. Those are all good things to be thankful for, don’t get me wrong!
But do we take the time to thank God for all He has done for and given us? God sent His one and only Son that we could be saved and are promised an eternity with Him. No matter what happens in this life, we can look to Jesus and be reminded of all He has done for us!
2 Corinthians 4:15
All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
Maybe you have a friend or family member that has never known what it means to have that relationship with Jesus Christ. This Thanksgiving, whether you are asked to name something you are thankful for or not, maybe God is giving you the opportunity to share the Thanksgiving that Jesus has put on your heart. There is nothing wrong with being thankful for the things we have but let’s not forget the most important thing we can be thankful for this Thanksgiving Season!
Psalm 107:8-9
Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
