Making the Most of Our Time
by David Benjamin
These past few months, I’ve had the blessed experience of transitioning jobs. Rather than making a simple transition, I made a commitment to switch from a simple early morning part-time job to a full-time night shift job (all while still working here at WGRC). If any of you have ever experienced the pressure of juggling two jobs or working early in the morning or late at night, I’ve learned to feel your pain. The stress of work and the tension of it all just seems to get to the point where you feel immobilized by all the pressure. However, when we believe in God, we are never alone! We are surrounded in the hope that he is constantly there, and that his love, combined with the love of like-minded believers all over the world, can help and change not only our lives, but the lives of the people around us for the better.
This month is Daylight Savings Time, and as we get ready to spring forward into the most difficult moments of our lives, I challenge you to pray to God and pray for those around you. It might not seem like much at times, but maybe just knowing that God has control of your future might help you breathe easy as you focus on reaching out those around you.
I encourage you to read these verses and reflect on them! May they invigorate you with the peace of God as you embrace the moments ahead of you.
Matthew 6:25-34: Do Not Worry About Tomorrow!
1 Peter 5:7: Casting Your Cares Upon God!
1 Thessalonians 5:11: Support Each Other!
Romans 8:37-39: God’s Loves Enables Us!
