Again we want to…THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP DURING GROWING TOGETHER 2020!
This year, we partnered with the Central PA Food Bank to help raise funds to feed families during our HOPE & HELP Growing Together fundraiser. During the three day event [April 21-23] we set a goal to feed 250 families – we saw God’s mighty hand take over and not only did we meet our goal – we far exceeded it!
Joe Arthur, Executive Director of Central PA Food Bank informed, “With the crisis, our dollars are being stretched to feed families.” Central Susquehanna Valley stepped up to the fundraising goal and exceeded it feeding 370 families!
This annual fundraiser helps cover expenses for the station. With the Covid-19 crisis occurring during this time, the partnership with the food bank made sense. Half of the dollars raised during the three-day period went to the food bank. Arthur explained it costs $50 to feed a family of three for about a week. Total funds raised during the three-day period equaled $37,000. Central PA Food Bank will get $18,500 and WGRC receives $18,500.
