Jill works in the office doing behind the scenes kind of things. Some of her job details include answering the phones, praying for listeners, mailings, writing scripts for Public Service Announcements and many other things that God places in her path to help with. As Volunteer Coordinator, she helps people who like to use their God-Given skills and abilities partner with WGRC to do community outreach, events and fundraising.
Jill’s educational background is in Cosmetology. However, through Bible Study she discovered God had other plans for her. When Jill came to know the Lord, her dreams changed and so did the course of her life. This is how the search to serve in ministry and missions began whether that be local missions or on foreign soil. Jill has been to over a dozen countries via mission trips and finds joy serving in the local community.
Jill thoroughly enjoys family, laughing, people from all nations, fishing, cheese and drawing. A couple of Fun Facts about Jill are: Jill was lactose intolerant for 9 years, but after being prayed for, God performed a miracle and she was totally healed that day. Such a blessing, as Mexican food and cheese are her favorites. She also likes to speak in other accents and imitate cartoons, but cannot do this on cue, yet. Play with grandkids, fly a helicopter, go to Ireland, canoe the Amazon and bobsled are just a few of the things on her to-do list before Heaven.
“My father was killed by a drunk driver at the age of 21. After losing my earthly father and hating anything that had to do with God, I went to a 34 week-long Bible Study. I soon learned that the God in my head was not the same God in the Bible. The Lord became my Heavenly Father at the age of 25 and that relationship continues to grow today. He has been the most incredible blessing in my life; bringing healing and forgiveness, when that never seemed possible.” – Jill
Mark 16:15-18 “He said to them “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
