There’s a thought on my mind, and I hope you’re encouraged or helped by it. The song that is out right now from We Are Messengers called “Maybe It’s Okay”…and the message behind it. Do you really hear that message? It’s okay, if you’re not okay.
I have a few thoughts that pop into my mind:
1, I pray that each of us understands that what we see on other people – their faces, their social media feeds…it’s not 100% what’s going on with them. I hope that we aren’t comparing our struggles on the inside to what someone else shows on the outside.
2, Do you know that God fully knows everything about you? The struggle. The thoughts. Not only that, but He also cares. He cares about you all the way. You don’t even have to have the words, because He already knows. Go to Him, He’s waiting. In His word. In a time of prayer.
3, If you are struggling – please find someone to talk to. A friend, someone at church. It’s hard to reach out when you are feeling down – I understand that – but it helps and even heals. Bring light into your darkness – and watch the darkness disappear. On the other side, I pray that we would each find time and space to be that friend. The friend with two ears and a heart ready to listen – because God might bring someone in front of each of us today who needs that friend.
Are you ready? Remember that God is a GOOD God. I don’t know everything, but I know an all-knowing God. The God in our Bible. The God who gave us Jesus Christ. The God who without question loves you and knows you.
Leaving you with a few good words for your journey…
Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
